About Cecilia Wennerström Quartet

In 1997 our group released the CD "Minor Stomp"(Four Leaf Clover FLCCD 157) with jazz music inspired by the bebop/cool style of the early sixties.

In 1998-99 our quartet toured in Sweden on clubs and festivals. In August 1998 we did 4 concerts at the festival OFF which is a part of the great summer jazz festival Jazz in Marciac in France.

Among the club gigs we did in Sweden 2000 is internationally known venue Fasching in Stockholm. This year we also recorded our second CD, "Stuck Zipper"(Four Leaf Clover FLCCD 174) which was released in January 2001. On this CD the talented singer and composer Ellekari Larsson appears, with whom we often work together, for instance at the big jazz festival Uppsala Winter Swing in January 2001.

In November 2001 we were invited to play in the concert serie "Jazz al Filarmonico" at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Italy. The jazz concerts were given every other monday in the autumn of 2001 with top class jazz artists like Enrico Rava, Thomasz Stanko,Charlie Haden and John Abercrombie.
